This past weekend Seth, Clare & I were able to travel upstate to Seth's sister's home to see their new arrival. She's a perfect baby girl! I love the newborn stage & can't believe only 10 months ago Clare was there. It's amazing how they change.
Clare is such a curious little girl. She is becoming a very skilled crawler and also is on a mission when strolling her push toy across the living room!
Seth is such a wonderful father & husband. It's really amazing how much he does. He's been having some very long & stressed work days the past month & is transitioning to being the chief resident of his program. It's a lot to take on & he's excited. One more year at his program & he'll be done. I've loved our life together during his residency & even though I am so excited to have a home with a dishwasher, I will miss our apartment & NUMC community. Anyways, June & July are difficult months for his program & for the level of trauma is quite a bit higher in the summer. He's still been working on a contract with a practice in Albany & hopefully things will be a bit more concrete in the next few months! I feel so fortunate to have a husband that is so handsome, intelligent, hard working, & directed. It was a little rainy on Father's day this year but we enjoyed it together. We tried to go play tennis across the street but we were met with a downpour on the walk there! We had lots of cake to enjoy though! Hopefully the weather is turning around now.
We had a beautiful day at the Statue of Liberty at the end of May. It was Clare & my first time to go there and it couldn't have been a more beautiful day. Afterwards we enjoyed meeting Josh & Nikki at a great restaurant by the water. Clare really enjoyed the ferry ride!

Tristin is growing up so fast. I was so happy to see him & Clare was completely entertained with her big cousin. It was so nice to catch up with Misty, Trent & Tristin at The Sound.
During our trip Clare & I were able to catch up with Christy & Lucy. One of the days we spent a day out at Lake St. Claire at their home. We had fun watching the girls playing and taking them on their pontoon boat. Clare, as usual, can take a little nap anywhere and found the boat very relaxing. We must have hit the best weather! It was beautiful. It may rain a lot in Washington but as we always say when it's nice out it is the most beautiful place to be. Another day we drove up to The Webster's- Randy's parent's home on Lake Stillacom. Their home is my favorite. I remember the day I first met Randy's family. It was when I was home for the summer in my 1st year in college. For the 4th of July I was going to hang out with Christy at her boyfriend's parent's for the big 4th of July party. Of course Christy was late. When I got there Susan (Randy's mom) was cleaning/preparing food/etc. It was my first time meeting Susan so I introduced myself and asked her what she needed me to do. She asked if I minded vacuuming so I went to work. The Webster's are one of my favorite families- very loving and have a huge sense of family. Well, Christy, Lucy, Clare & I had a great day enjoying the pool and sitting on the dock. It was such a beautiful day! Also, it was the first time Clare went swimming. She loved the pool & I'm hoping to get her in swim time for the fall.
The end of last month Grandpa John Roberts passed away. We were very sad about his death but happy he had such a full life. He had just turned 90 this past Spring and Clare was able to meet him while we were home. Last week Clare & I flew out to Washington to see family. Uncle Mike & Aunt Shirley had a very nice memorial party for family/friends and a lot of us, Roberts' were there. I was so happy to see my cousin's little one doing so well & I was so thankful to see everyone. I was lucky to grow up within a few minutes of both sets of Grandparents & spent a lot of time with them. My Grandpa spent more time running the Centralia American Legion Baseball program then I can count and the majority of my memories of him involve the fields. He had a strong sense of community and made a huge difference in the program. During our trip we stayed out for a ceremony at the ballpark. I felt very lucky to have been there. I know he would have liked it.
Gabriel & Clare have changed so much over the past few months. Gabriel is a month older so I have really enjoyed getting/sharing mommy advice with Alejandra (Gabriel's mother). They will be moving to the Bronx, where Gabriel's Daddy will be starting a burn fellowship in a week. We have enjoyed having them as neighbors and will miss them. Clare has been enjoying her Little Tike mail center push toy and has figured out how to stand and walk with it. She has been pushing it around the living room.
